Its a comedy Woodstock …

Are you looking for a place to camp on the Labour Day long weekend? Do you enjoy great stand-up comedy? Of course you are, and of course you do … so come on down to Medicine Hat, Alberta for Sept 1st and 2nd, 2007 for the Alberta stop of the Kamping Gut Buster (KGB) outdoor Komedy Kabaret.

Its going to be a party, though I suspect the MH Exhibition and Stampede Grounds will keep our deposit if we end up at “half a million strong.” Regardless, there’s plenty of space for campers and tents in the campground, and the show will be right there as well. $20 a head gets you in for all the weekend’s activities, including 2 shows and 2 nights camping. Arrive Saturday afternoon and get set up any time after 5PM … Saturday night’s show starts at 8:30PM.

The final line up isn’t completely set yet, but Daryl Makk and James Moore from Calgary are already confirmed, and Medicine Hat will be well represented by myself as well as MH’s funniest woman, Stephanie Foley. We are expecting several more performers to confirm this week to round out the line-up. As if that weren’t enough, we’ll add a couple of musical guests to get the place rocking. Camping is open to all, but the show does come with a parental advisory warning … its probably not suitable for children. Sponsored by Comedy Detour and Comedy Monday Night, and organized by Dewdrop Entertainment (or here for Facebook users), the KGB will be the biggest comedy show to hit Medicine Hat in years … don’t miss it!!!
